STERLING SILVER JEWELRY
Some simple secrets to make your silver pieces sparkle all the time.

Last on, first off: Put your jewelry on last, after cosmetics, perfume, hairspray, and other corrosive chemical substances. Take them off first before going to bed or engaging with any water activities.

Store separately: After wearing, wrap each piece in a soft cloth or tissue paper, then place them separately in cloth pouches, small boxes, or individual plastic bags.

For pieces with gold-plating or black graving: Do not clean with a chemically treated cleaning pad or solution. Use a damp soft, normal piece of jewelry cloth instead. You can easily get this from any jeweler or use a microfiber, soft piece of cloth.

GOLD-PLATED JEWELRY
At Centime, we use sterling silver as the base for all our jewelry, which is then coated with a thin layer of gold. A little care will go a long way in retaining its sparkle.
6 Golden Rules for Handling Gold-Plated Jewelry:

Rule 1: Put on gold-plated jewelry last, after makeup, perfume, etc. Take it off first before bed.

Rule 2: Avoid corrosive liquids like soap, sweat, and chemicals that can cause tarnishing.

Rule 3: Avoid abrasive surfaces that can rub off the gold plating.

Rule 4: Store pieces separately to prevent scratching.

Rule 5: Clean gently with a soft, damp cloth - avoid jewelry cleaners.

Rule 6: Gold-plated rings wear off fastest, while necklaces and earrings last longer.
